Intro.
My name is Katlynn. This will be a site to tell of the multitude of endeavors I entertain, from class to work life to research. I plan to start somewhat basic in my posts but eventually I'd like to both teach readers something as well as inspire myself to learn more along the way. Upon compiling ideas for what I could possibly make an entire website devoted to, I came upon a few broad topics with which I plan to begin. Student Life, Job&Career, Travel, Research (most of which will relate to my scientific endeavors but of course that is subject to change), and History. Five seemed an adequate goal for which to cover however I momentarily considered politics before reminding myself of the skull-draining helplessness I would find myself suffering if I were to take upon that subject matter. Thus, I will stick with the five. Upon looking up the number five online there's quite an expanse from the Five Pillars of Islam to Five, a U.K. Boy Band and if you ever come across a free Sunday afternoon I highly recommend the Wikipedia pages for each digit. Anyways, I imagine a bit about myself would be appropriate here. I am a freshman in college (put in italics because I took nearly two years of college in high school so the freshman label doesn't seem quite appropriate). I plan on going to school for Biochemistry next fall upon my transfer from a local community college to the University of Minnesota. Currently, I take classes at said college, tutor five children, and waitress. With what free time I have, I can usually be found trying out new recipes, exploring the nonfiction or sci-fi section at the library, or watching Grey's Anatomy with my own McDreamy. Had my family not just moved across the country, there would be a slot for spending time with them however a twenty four hour drive away leaves much to be desired. I suppose for those extremely interested, I could tell you of my love of all things linguistics as well as historic. Etymology has a special spot in my soul so expect posts as such. I imagine this is more than anyone really needed to know of the personal life of a stranger however I hope it allowed you a glimpse into what I hope to make of this site. I look forward to what this could become.
